Sydney Trains Customer Service Officers Cannot Deal With Gate Barrier Jumpers!

Gate barrier jumpers on on Sydney Trains train stations are quite common, they look around first to see if they get caught and off they go! Another way of evading fares. One day one person will hurt themselves and then could be a lawsuit for Sydney Trains, yet it is not  their  fault.

Customer Service Officers have no chance in stopping them yet Police Officers would be able to prevent this by being present!

  1. I think barrier designs need to be changed to prevent people from jumping or squeezing between them.
In Brisbane, the barriers come up to chest height but go down to about knee level so there's still a huge gap below that people can squeeze through.
