Is there some way all tiers of Governments can look at promoting more people to catch public transport especially on Sundays? I can start the ball rolling by offering discounts to regular Sunday commuters?

  Nick Tyrrell Once Opal is rolled out I understand the Family Sunday Funday $2.50 ticket will be available for individuals. I believe you can already do this on the ferries as they have Opal, and by the end of 2014 you should be able to make use of it on buses and trains too. There you go, your request is a good one, and already underway!

  Jean-Francois Svoboda In relation to what Nick Tyrrell stated This is a very good proposal the NSW Government is heading - according to commuters I speak too - long overdue, probably should have been introduced 6 years with the previous government.   Marc Conyard Like Japan- overnight with minimal disruptions in stages that DO NOT disrupt normal services. It might actually make them plan logistics a little better. Did you know that Japan changed to auto couplers on their trains overnight with zero service down time? There was a time in Sydney when suburban trains were loco hauled during track work and buses rarely replaced trains.
