Clean Commuter On Parramatta Train Station!

We complain to day of unclean carriages, platform, vestibule areas of trains stations and we detest the way some commuters do not respect the public transport environment, leaving it as clean as they found it!

On the other hand I spotted an extremely clean commuter who went out his way(dressed in a business suit at night), toothbrush and tooth paste cleaning his teeth on the train platform and then shoved everything in his briefcase, leaving a nice white smile. It was too late for myself to take a picture!

 Has anyone seen any other forms of 'Commuter Cleanliness' that needs to be known and shown?

Interviewers For Parramatta Interchange Seen!

Interviewers were seen at Parramatta train station, asking questions about the Parramatta Interchange. Hopefully they were looking for improvements from commuters that use it. And there are thousands that use it!

The Parramatta Interchange is a fairly recent interchange, yet as we all know there is a growing population and an increase usage of public transport, there will be a need for change in the future. maybe  what could be considered is similar bus interchanges like Blacktown , Mount Druitt, St Marys and Penrith. There  are bus bays  and safety access to the bus stands!

New Electronic Coloured Signals - Parramatta Train Station

We hear the expression that  mechanical devices go 'on the blink' and then it is up to mechanics, engineers. Yet it happens to commuter to Electronic Indicator Boards, it is hard to understand how to read these signs in colour as follows:

Over Parramatta Station Skies - Colourful Rainbows!

It is unusual that many people look into the sky at trains and it seemed to be a day that people did this. Seen over Parramatta train Station was a colourful  rainbow spread across the background of the sky unbeknown to others.

So I decided to take  two picture, one a bit further and one a bit closer - see the difference. A lady  who I had been speaking to today advised that many people were taking pictures of the rainbow sky in Granville.

Warning Commuters On Parramatta Station!

Commuters beware that there are representatives on Parramatta train in the Mornings seeking to take valuable Commuters time for  a valuable important survey.

They are interviewing commuters who will provide details of their original mode of transport, from their origin address where they left, until you reached Parramatta. They will then work your transport corridor that got you to Parramatta Station and when asked  what is intended with the survey, they say they are looking to improve public transport services around Parramatta area!

 So please don't look dangerous, be warned of these friendly NSW for Transport representatives, be friendly as they use caution to approach you and  after completing the survey, one day you will notice improvement in public transport around Parramatta.

Suggestions For Barriers at Parramatta Train Station

Jeanette from St Claire - travels to and from St Marys to Parramatta on working days has suggested an easier way of ensuring there id less commuter congestion entering and leaving the concourse of the train station.

It is such an easy idea, simple and yet it can work and should work. What the suggestion is will make less commuters bump into each other accidentally. That is,  at the barriers on the western side only have one section of barriers "Entering' (left or right side) and the other side for existing.

At present we have sometimes 2 barriers  'Entering' on the right side and the other four to five other barriers going out, in the afternoon. Sometimes one breaks down or one commuters loses ticket in the machine and then they are calling the station assistants to locate them ,we are then down to one barrier. Jeanette's idea is a good idea and  a lot of good people from Western Sydney have a lot of good ideas as well.

A NSW Transport Officer Wants This To Happen At Parramatta Concourse.....

People talk and people tell things to me. I am approachable and I will approach people nicely, so a transport officer who I have known for quite a few years has brought up to a brilliant suggestion. And here it is:

On the Western side of Parramatta Train Station concourse where there is the automatic gates on the right side, yet there is a glassed barrier which blocks commuters from entering and leaving. Not too sure what this is used for but the suggestion is to place  another station assistants office on the extreme left side and then that will allow for another automatic gate to be placed on the right side of it.

I will look like the reverse of what is on left side of the concourse( which includes the station assistance office).

Furthermore I had looked at another area that is wasted space that will allow more commuters passing in and out of more automated ticketing gate machines - check this out!

This allows more traffic through employees another transport officer who can assist with the daily needs of commuters and overall a better customer service response from Cityrail staff.

Railway Tracks At Parramatta

Today have taken  photos of railway tracks at  Parramatta. You can see how it needs repair - this may be a safety issue for trains if not fixed up or attended too as well!
